The all-time bestseller, the Helion SC3000, was initially designed in 1999 for demanding enthusiasts of hi-fi sound. SC3000 was intended for reputable audio and video systems that provided good resolution and above-average performance. SC3000 enhanced considerably their sonic capabilities and overall quality of reproduction, and this function has been preserved until today.
The Rev.8 version is more refined than ever before. Its perfectly balanced qualities make it suitable for even the most economical high-end and hi-fi systems, while at the same time providing exceptional reliability and performance in all areas, both sonic and technical. The shield is copper braid consisting of 150 individual 0.26 mm diameter wires for the best EMI and interference protection and mechanical flexibility. Both plugs are made in Germany.
The shield is wired in our proprietary EPS™ configuration to ensure it remains equipotential during normal work, thus being more efficient. Five current lines are of the multi-strand type made of 99.9997% oxygen-free CW009A copper for the best conductivity and the lowest, 0.007 ohm resistance. Such a structure makes them resistant to multiple bendings and minimizes the intragranular stresses that arise under these conditions.
Insulation is made of a special N7258 compound that is able to withstand even a 4 kV voltage surge. Contacts are made of copper and nickel-plated brass. The polarization of contacts is indicated on both plugs for easy system configuration. Helion SC3000 Rev.8 is able to transfer up to 800 A of pulse current; only the plug and socket international standard limits the continuous current to 10/16 A.
All the above features, technologies, and materials can improve the perceived sound quality and enhance the listening experience. Any audio-video system can benefit from the Helion SC3000 Rev.8, as it easily surpasses the vast majority of power supply cables present on the market today.
Like all the previous versions of the product, Helion SC3000 Rev.8 is designed, engineered, and hand-made in Europe, and the main parts of the product are manufactured in the EU.
